Eyebrows are one of your most important facial features and enhancing them can drastically change the way you look. Microblading can make your eyebrows look thicker and fuller. Whether your brows are sparse or you want to fill in gaps, then microblading is a great solution for you. While it is a type of tattoo application, the technique is not as scary as it sounds. These are not the blue tattooed eyebrows of your grandmother’s day. Microblading creates flawless brows with short precise strokes. Pigment is implanted under the skin like a tattoo, but it is not as deep, and the microblading process is much more detailed and meticulous and results in a more natural look.
The results last from three (3) years up to five (5) years.
“We start by drawing the brow shape with a removable pencil,” says Candice Cheng with Lash and Brow Couture, “taking in to consideration your natural brow shape, brow bone and face shape. This is the most time consuming part of the process because you want to get the shape just right.” After the brow shape is drawn in with pencil and the client is happy with it, the area is numbed with a topical cream and then a liquid anesthetic is applied. Most clients agree that the process is relatively painless, although some feel a little discomfort.
You’ll be ready to show off your new brows instantly. It is very important to keep the area dry and do not wash or wet during the first 48 hours after the application. Please refrain from sweat-inducing activities and workouts for these 48 hours. We include TWO touch-ups, each 30-days apart, to fill in places we may have missed during the initial process. No special care is required once your brows have healed. You can rub your brows, swim and enjoy all the activities you did before.
Candice Cheng feels that offering the microblading service to her clients is life changing. “I’ve had customers who wouldn’t do certain activities for fear that their penciled-on eyebrows would wear off. Microblading gives them freedom to live the life they want.” While the process is time consuming at the initial appointment, most feel the need for daily application of eyebrow makeup is no longer necessary. “Seeing my clients transform is one of the most rewarding parts of my day,” offers Candice.
Microblading is hugely popular internationally and it is now growing quickly in America. Beautifully and naturally shaped eyebrows is one of your faces most important aspects. Candice Cheng, with Lash and Brow Couture has been doing semi-permanent make-up for many years and was one of the first technicians practicing in Houston. Candice is now an experienced professional in the microblading process.
